The President of Basra University, Prof. Dr. Saad Shaheen, visited Jaafar Al-Tayyar Hospital for the wounded of the popular crowd to provide moral and logistical support to the patients, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Mortada Al-Musafir, Dean of the College of Medicine, and Prof. Dr. Qusay Al-Dirawi, director of the Student Activities Department, and a group of professors and students of the college. The President of the University also commissioned the Horticultural Division  At the University of Basra, the lands and gardens adjacent to the hospital were planted, and the cooling devices were maintained on the site by the university’s workshops.
