 The Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority / Student Activities Department at the Ministry of Education and Scientific Research held the University Festival of Fine Arts
 On the campus of Basra University, on November 28, 2021, with the participation of 24 public and private universities, hosting the University of Basra, Southern Technical University, Basra Oil and Gas University, Shatt Al-Arab University College, Iraq University College, and Al-Kunuz College.
 Dr. Ammar Khalil Ibrahim, director of the Student Activities Department / Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, said in the opening speech of the festival that this festival is important, especially after the disruption of student activities due to the Corona epidemic.
 He added that we seek to develop and develop the technical skills of students by participating in these festivals.
 Saad Shaheen, President of Basra University, added, after he welcomed the distinguished guests from Iraqi universities, that this technical meeting, in which many university students participate, is a forum we cherish after the festivals stopped in light of the Corona pandemic.
 In the same context, Dr. Qusay Al-Dirawi, Director of Student Activities Department at Basra University, said that the presence of delegations from Iraq’s universities in this art festival is a reason for our pleasure, that we are the ones who start spinning the wheel of university plastic art after the Corona pandemic.
 The opening of the festival was attended by a number of participating university delegations, as well as hundreds of students and those interested in fine art, who enjoyed watching a musical event presented by the orchestra at the College of Fine Arts.
