The Basra University team for female students participated in the Iraqi universities’ volleyball championship for female students, which was organized by the Student Activities Department in the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The tournament started on December 9, 2021 in the hall of the College of Basic Education, Al-Mustansiriya University.

The matches of the first day of the championship, which were managed by refereeing teams consisting of the international referee Jassem Safi and the federal referees (Hassan Al-Ali, Dr. Muhannad Khairallah, Qais Akram, Jaafar Abdul-Muttalib, Dr. Nida Yasser), resulted in the Al-Mustansiriya University team achieving a victory over the team The College of the Future and Al-Hamdania University team beat the University team, and in the third match, the Diyala University team defeated the Basra University team. The fourth match ended with the Isra College team winning over the Middle Euphrates University team.
On the second day of the tournament, the Basra University team defeated the University College of Peace team.
