A delegation from the University of Basra, Department of Student Activities, headed by Assistant Professor Dr. Imad Badrawi, participated with 150 students from various colleges, to attend the central graduation ceremony that was held in the holy city of Karbala
The President of the University of Basra, Dr. Saad Shaheen Hammadi, and the Associate Dean of the College of Administration and Economics for Administrative Affairs participated in these ceremonies.

It is mentioned that the central ceremony that was held in the city of Karbala is a direct and strong response to the immoral forms of graduation ceremonies that were circulated on social networking sites.
